Vehicle: 2026 Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss, 4WD Crew Cab. Delivered new 3/29/26. Beginning in May 2026, the vehicle developed a steering column defect: play in the steering wheel, a catch or jerking sensation while driving and turning (particularly at low speeds and on rougher residential/city roads), a structural popping noise, and an accompanying dashboard rattle. The vehicle has been repaired three times for this identical defect: - 5/5/26–7/3/26: intermediate steering shaft replac

I engaged the emergency flashers and limped to the nearest side road. I had to stop on the road because of no shoulder. I waited there while assessing the situation and eventually was able to drive the short distance home. I disconnected the battery to reset the PCM. This action temporarily cleared the fault code and check engine light. The first dealer said it couldn't do anything wit
