2022 Land Rover Discovery recalls

My vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall 26V-248 / Jaguar Land Rover Recall D126 involving the electrical system and DC/DC converter. I have not experienced the recalled failure, warning message, loss of motive power, or loss of exterior lighting. I am filing because the recall remains unrepaired and the remedy is unavailable for my vehicle. The recall notice I received is dated June 10, 2026. NHTSA states that DC/DC converter failure can cause loss of 12-volt charging and ultimately loss of motive power and exterior lighting, increasing crash risk. The contact owns a 2022 Land Rover Discovery. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V248000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and made aware of the issue.

My car has the same issue as Recall No: 26V458, but it does not show on my VIN in order for my dealership to remedy the issue. I was driving home from work late at night in December 2025. A Signal came on that said pull to safety or something like that and then I lost power steering and brake control and my entire dash in my vehicle went pitch black. I was in the middle lane on route 290 and I was very lucky not to hit any other vehicles, but it was incredibly scary because I had no control of my vehicle and there were many cars and trucks on the road around me.
