It required tow to bmw service center and as of Oct 6 2026 they say it requires a software update that does not yet exist.

This is a brand new vehicle with fewer than 4000 miles on the odometer. The Panoramic Sunroof shattered without any foreign object or projectile being the cause of the explosive nature of the damage. No other marks anywhere on the car. It is clear that from the remaining broken glass left behind in the frame the panoramic roof was pushed up and not struck from above.
