While driving with my two children in the car, the sunroof exploded, causing glass shards to fall through the cover.

October 7, 2026Seats

I own a 2025 Ford Expedition MAX Platinum Ultimate. The second-row passenger-side seat has repeatedly failed to latch securely to the floor after being moved/folded. This problem has occurred multiple times. The vehicle has previously been taken to the Ford dealer for the problem, and repairs have been attempted. I have also previously been charged approximately $500 for a repair related to this recurring seat-latching issue, when the dealership blamed trash from the kids causing the issue. The condition has now occurred again, and the vehicle is displaying a warning indicating that the second-row seat is not properly latched. I am concerned this is a serious occupant-safety issue.
