I was driving to work at XXX for my 7:00am shift. Car started bucking and not responding to when I hit the gas. Was nervous so I left car at XXX and walked to work. I had car towed to Ocean Honda in Weymouth, MA. They ran a special diagnostics on my car and determined it was transmission failure. No lights ever came on prior to this incident and no symptoms prior to this. The car dealer told me I would need a new transmission for $10,000. I bought the car in 2023 from Hyannis Honda in Hyannis, MA. It had 26,000 miles on it and it now has 66,809. I feel this car had a manufacturer defect with such low mileage and I am thankful nothing happened to me. I am a nurse and now have no car. I called

I own a 2022 Honda HR-V EX. The driver’s side interior door-release handle intermittently becomes stuck/binds and cannot be pulled through its normal range of motion, preventing the driver’s door from being opened from inside the vehicle. The problem occurs spontaneously and is intermittent, so it may not be reproducible on demand. I have video documentation showing the failure occurring repeatedly. During the recorded incident, I attempted to operate the interior driver’s door handle multiple times and the handle would not operate normally or release the door. This creates a safety concern because the driver may be unable to quickly exit through the driver’s door during an emergency, includ

WHILE TRAVELING AT FREEWAY SPEED, THE CVT TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ALL PROPULSION. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN AND RESPONDED TO THE ACCELERATOR, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED, INCLUDING A BRAKE-SYSTEM WARNING. THE VEHICLE ALSO ROLLED BACKWARD ON AN INCLINE AND WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. IT WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED HONDA DEALER. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED AND QUOTED APPROXIMATELY 9,750 TO REPLACE IT. THE FAILED VEHICLE/TRANSMISSION REMAINS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION. BEFORE THE FAILURE, HONDA DEALER INSPECTION RECORDS SHOWED THE VEHICLE IN GREEN/GOOD CONDITION AND DID NOT ADVISE THAT CV

In January 2026, at approximately 80,000 miles, the CVT in my 2022 Honda HR-V AWD experienced a major internal failure. The failure presents a safety concern because loss of CVT function can cause loss of acceleration/motive power during highway driving, merging, lane changes, or intersection crossings. The problem was confirmed by an authorized Honda dealer. Honda's HDS diagnostic system initially recorded DTC P0793. The dealer inspected/replaced the CVT drive-pully speed sensor and road-tested the vehicle. The repair did not correct the problem, and the "D" indicator began flashing. The dealer then recorded DTCs P0780 and P1899. The dealer drained the CVT fluid and documented on the repair
