June 5, 2026 · Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
Problem
American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2016-2022 Honda Pilot, 2017-2023 Ridgeline, 2019-2023 Passport, and 2014-2020 Acura MDX vehicles that were sold in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wisconsin. The rear subframe may corrode at the suspension mounting points, which can result in rear suspension component failure.
Safety risk
Failure of rear suspension components, such as the rear control arm, can cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the rear subframe and install a rear subframe reinforcement kit and, as necessary, repair or replace the rear subframe components, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed July 27, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in the fall of 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are AOU and AOT. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 10, 2026.

Problem
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Odyssey, 2019-2022 Pilot, and 2019-2023 Passport vehicles. On an incline, the auto stop engages, and hill hold deactivates because engine is off. The vehicle rolls backwards between time of moving from brake to gas and before engine engages. Delay and lag time. This is a major hazard, the dealer will not address

October 8, 2026Fuel/Propulsion System

After numerous weeks of troubleshooting the dealer finally told me the low pressure fuel pump is faulty. That part number is included in numerous recalls on other vehicles yet my vehicle is not covered. This is the 3rd faulty part on this car I have experienced. This also probably led to the starter failing just before this part failed. All in under 4 years of ownership and 76k miles. These parts are faulty but Honda is making me pay for them even though there are recalls for the same parts in adjacent vehicles. This is a failure of the recall system.

My 2022 Honda Passport EX-L began experiencing intermittent starting problems in July 2025, including hesitation and clicking sounds. The battery was replaced in July 2025, but the problem continued. The main safety concern involves the Idle Start Stop system. When the engine shuts off while stopped at a traffic light, releasing the brake pedal does not always cause the vehicle to restart normally. At times it struggles or fails to restart, requiring a manual restart. This can leave the vehicle unable to move in active traffic and create a collision hazard. On September 1, 2026, at 61,133 miles, an authorized Honda dealer inspected the vehicle and confirmed the concern. The technician docume
