The moonroof exploded while I was driving the car. There was a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot while I was going down the expressway. The dealership network has already made two (2) separate, unscheduled service attempts to diagnose and fix this ongoing battery drainage issue: 1.First Repair Attempt: July 9, 2026, at McDaniels Subaru of Columbia, Mileage: 2356. Vehicle would not start. When start button was pushed dash lights would flicker on but would not turn over engine. Not being that familiar with the electronics of the vehicle I thought it may be that my wife had somehow disabled the vehicle by trying to get the key fob to work. Intermittently, while trying to start the car, the alarm sounds, lights turn on, message says "engine disabled" and car cannot be started. Has occurred every few months: December 2025, March 2026, July 2026. Subaru company claims there is no problem, however, there is a malfunction that it has refused to try to diagnose. The company claims the car was not driven enough, or maybe the key fob was left in the car, or the phone was too close to the start button, or etc...........I do have a video of one incident but do not know how to upload it.
My daughter was driving her car and another car pulled right in front of her from behind a wall. The damage to my daughter’s car is all at the front and the automatic braking mechanism did not work, in addition, non of the airbags deployed which caused my daughter to have injuries to her legs. Towing service was puzzled when they saw the damage and the airbags had not deployed.
