The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid. The contact stated that the key fob failed to unlock and lock the front driver’s side door. Due to the failure, the contact was forced to manually lock the front driver’s side door upon exiting and crawl through the front passenger’s side door to unlock the front driver's side door. The dealer was made aware of the failure, and an appointment was scheduled to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

The roof rail is detaching from front to back due to weak clips or tabs, which can easily break and cause the rails to fall off while driving, posing a safety risk. Toyota attributes this issue to external factors and advises owners to avoid tunnel car washes, as they can also cause the tabs to break, resulting in the roof rails falling off during driving. Additionally, water can now enter the rails and the cabin.

This is the same motor that is in the Tundra that was recalled (NHTSA recall #25V767 for the V35A 3.4L i Force Max twin turbo V6 hybrid). Why is there not a recall on the Sequoia's motor? Now I will have a motor that has been torn apart and put back together by some random technician instead of getting a brand new motor from the factory, which is what they did for the Tundra. Toyota also extended the warranty on the motors for the
