2026 Volvo XC60 recalls

I purchased the above vehicle new on October 31, 2025. It has had a defect in its infotainment and center display system from the moment of delivery. The system failed while the dealer’s technician was demonstrating it to me on delivery day, and the vehicle went back into the shop before I could take it home. The defect has never been corrected. The system reboots itself regularly. Audio fails completely, including turn signal sounds. Settings change on their own when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. I raised these failures in person with both the service and sales departments at my first scheduled service on July 16, 2026, and asked that the unit be reprogrammed or replaced. I was told

I am reporting a potential safety defect involving the driver-assistance, lane-assist/steering intervention, and automatic braking systems in my 2026 Volvo XC60. I purchased the vehicle new on May 20, 2026, and it currently has approximately 10,000 miles. I have experienced repeated unexpected steering intervention while driving. On multiple occasions, the vehicle’s lane-assistance system has pulled or attempted to steer the vehicle toward oncoming traffic, requiring me to actively correct the steering. The vehicle has experienced intermittent loss of power while driving at highway speeds on multiple occasions. The issue occurred twice on Monday and multiple times again on Tuesday. During these events, the vehicle felt as though it may stall or lose propulsion while traveling in traffic. The vehicle has also intermittently exhibited engine rattling and drivability concerns. In addition, the center display screen has blacked out intermittently, and the audio system has periodically failed to function.
