I purchased a 2024 F-450 Limited from Phil Long Ford of [XXX] [XXX] located in [XXX] on XXX. After noticing that I was the third (sometimes the fourth listed owner) I decided to do some further investigation on the truck's history. I've come to find out that the truck was imported from [XXX], which was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase. The vehicle’s electronic systems and safety components have repeatedly malfunctioned, including the Hill Start Assist system, Hill Descent Control system, Blind Spot Detection system, diesel exhaust fluid system, and powertrain control system. These failures are documented through FordPass alerts dated May–August 2023 (it was sold to me as "new" a

n October 28th, I left Atlanta, Georgia with a load going to Pittsburgh–Philadelphia. On October 29th, 2025, around 12:30 a.m., I was approximately two miles north of Birch River, West Virginia. While driving uphill at a steady speed of about 60–65 mph, I suddenly heard a loud popping sound, as if something had exploded or blown inside the engine. Right after that, the truck immediately lost power, and I pulled over to the shoulder as quickly as I could. As I was stopping, I saw flames coming through the hood directly in front of me, mostly from the driver’s side. I grabbed the fire extinguisher from inside my cab and opened the hood. On the driver’s side of the engine, I saw heavy flames co

This is the third time I have had this issue. I will be driving my truck and will out of nowhere get a warning on the dash that says: “Pre-Collision Assist not available” then after that happens I will not be able to set the cruise control. This can only be fixed by a trip to the dealer ship and usual takes 10-15 days to get fixed. It will work as normal for a few thousand miles than come back. It also happened approximately January 2nd with approximately 2000 and March 15th with 4000 miles.
