My front windshield has developed inside cracks in the same exact place, within the past two years. Cracks on on the inside directly infront of the drives side and about 6 inches up from the bottom of the window. The cracks are about 1 inch in length and parallel to the bottom of the windshield. There us another perpendicular to the bottom windshield and about 1/2 inch long (it is about an inch from the parallel crack). Dealer replaced the wind shield the first time. Dealer did not replace the windshieldd the 2nd time. They claimed the wiper caused the crack, but the crack is not on the outside.
October 20, 2026Forward Collision Avoidance
On October 19, 2026 at approximately 8:40 AM, I was behind a Lexus SUV at a stop sign and I went to put on my eyeglasses. When I released the brake to accelerate forward the car stopped and put on the emergency brakes twice before I could finally accelerate. The car released an alarming alert on the dashboard saying “emergency braking.” This was dangerous considering there was a car directly behind me and I had my 20 month old in a car seat on the back seat.

I do not know exactly what component failed. All I know is that the vehicle lost power while my wife was driving our children to school at around 8:15 A.M. on February 24, 2026. The vehicle slowed down on its own and could not accelerate when my wife pushed on the gas pedal. There were no warning or check engine lights on the dashboard. Luckily, this happened in a residential neighborhood where traffic is low. This could have caused an accident and/or fatalities if she was driving on busy street or a highway at the time. I contacted Genesis Customer Care. They scheduled me for a service appointment to get the vehicle checked. The vehicle was checked for codes, but nothing came up. They check
March 18, 2026Power TrainElectrical System
While driving an audible pop from the rear of the vehicle was heard. Upon hearing the pop the vehicle warning lights came on and a sudden loss of power reducing my maximum speed to 20 mile per hour. The electrical system failure warning came up on the screen and the car would not accelerate to over 20 miles per hour. The dealer stated it was a failed ICCU and fuse. This has been at the dealer for over 10 days without a return window provided. The car has 15,802 miles on it.
