2025 Genesis GV70 recalls

On XXX, at approximately 10:14 AM, my husband, [XXX], was backing our 2025 Genesis GV70 3.5T Sport out of our garage at [XXX]. He states that the gas pedal felt stuck and that he could not get his foot off the accelerator. The vehicle accelerated in reverse across our driveway, struck our mailbox, crossed the street, struck a Comcast cable box, crossed the grass between two homes, struck landscaping shrubs, and finally struck a tree in a wooded area, where it came to rest (Ocean Township Police Report #XXX my husband's statement that the pedal felt stuck is recorded in that report). I believe my transmission is slipping. I had four events within the last 3-4 weeks. 1) after my car was running for 30 minutes, I started to slowing go up a hill from a stopped position. The car accelerated on its own and I had to slam on the breaks. I was very scarred. I did not see a warning light in dash. 2) I was pulling away from a stopped position after my car was running for 15 minutes. The car would not move and the RPMs went up to four. After five seconds, the car finally moved. 3) the car would barely accelerate after first starting it. After driving a mile, I pulled over and restarted the car. While driving and making a turn or stop and go the vehicle will not accelerate when peddle is pressed it will go about 20mph go into limp mode until you can get to a safe place to shut off engine and restart vehicle; The vehicle is at the Dealer now waiting on diagnostics report, No warning lights or code messages showing, Auto is Dangerous to my family and other drivers this happen approximately 4 times since I own this vehicle just purchased 8/4/2026 19000 miles Under manufacturer warranty

As I’m getting on XXX south my dashboard starts to blackout on and off and the next thing, my vehicle shutdown. Luckily I was in traffic at a slow speed. The instrument cluster display intermittently showed a number components in alarm state such as lane departure, collision warning, blind spot warning, ABS while driving and while parked then seemed to clear and go back to normal . There was no indication of a problem wi09th steering or braking.
