October 21, 2026Electrical System

I am currently leasing a 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB 250+. The vehicle displayed a warning related to the high-voltage battery system, indicating a potential malfunction and safety risk. I was advised that there may be an issue involving the high-voltage battery that could lead to battery failure and/or an increased risk of fire. Due to this warning, I no longer feel the vehicle is safe to operate or park near my home or other structures. The warning first appeared on the vehicle's dashboard while the vehicle was in normal use. The condition creates a significant safety concern because a high-voltage battery failure could potentially result in loss of propulsion, vehicle disablement, or a battery

I was driving very slowly down a residential side street and started to pull over to the right side to park behind a car. This parking spot was on a slight incline and the curb was made up of two slanted cobblestones. After I moved in to position within about 2 ft from the car in front of me, my car quickly accelerated and slammed in to it. While I did not notice it at the time, after noticing the nature of the damage to both cars, it appeared as though the car may have tried to swerve from the curb. I believe the front sensors detected there was something in the way and the car swerved left hitting the parked car in front of me. There were no warnings before the event and I did not notice t

I own a 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300 4MATIC, VIN [XXX], manufactured in XXX. I am requesting a formal safety review regarding NHTSA recall 26V073, involving potential high-voltage battery fires. The official NHTSA recall report lists XXX, as the last affected vehicle production date. However, page 5 states that the supplier production correction became effective for vehicles produced from XXX onward. My vehicle was manufactured between these dates but does not appear to qualify for the replacement recall. I do have multiple battery charging failures. I have reached out to benz as well. Please open a formal customer assistance case, provide a case number, and respond in writing with the finding

The infotainment and vehicle information system randomly goes black, resets itself while driving. There are no error messages or warnings. The system reboots and the screens come back after about 10-20 seconds. There was a recall issued for this back in May of 2026 and I had Mercedes Benz of Asheville, NC perform the required system update on June 17, 2026. Obviously the update did not correct the problem.

June 25, 2026SteeringElectrical SystemLane Departure

The lane-keeping assist function (In-Lane control, part of the driver-assistance suite) does not turn off when commanded. The driver selects the control to disengage, and the system remains active and continues to apply steering input. This is a recurring condition and it is getting more frequent. A driver-assistance steering function that cannot be switched off removes driver authority over the steering at the moment the driver is trying to take control, which is a safety risk in normal driving and especially during evasive maneuvers, lane changes, and construction or debris avoidance. The condition was reported to the selling dealer in writing on June 17, 2026 as part of a recurring driver
